All our asbestos sampling and survey works are carried out safely and professionally by highly experienced BOHS P402 qualified surveyors in accordance with HSE HSG264 – asbestos surveying guidance.
Asbestos Sampling
We can attend your premises and take samples of any suspect materials. All sampling is carried out safely in line with HSG264 guidance by qualified surveyors. Samples are analysed at one of our approved UKAS accredited laboratories and a bulk certificate is issued for your records detailing the result and type of asbestos present. 24 Hour turnaround on sample analysis can normally be arranged for emergency samples.
Management Surveys
Management surveys aim to identify and assess asbestos containing materials (ACMs) that could be disturbed during normal occupation and can help form the basis of the asbestos management plan and register as part of HSE Duty to Manage regulations. A comprehensive report is issued on completion of the survey detailing the locations, extent, types and condition of asbestos found during the survey as well as management recommendations.
R&D Surveys
Refurbishment and demolition (R&D) surveys are intrusive surveys that aim to locate ACMs that could be disturbed during works so that they can either be removed or managed appropriately. R&D survey can be just a refurbishment or demolition survey or a combination of both dependent on the scope of works. On completion of the survey a report is issued detailing the location, quantity and types of asbestos present to enable any asbestos removal works to be planned.
Reinspections
Regular assessment of the condition of known ACMs is a requirement of your asbestos management plan. The condition of ACMs can deteriorate and it is important any damage is highlighted and rectified as soon as possible to prevent potential exposure. We can carry out these inspections and produce a report detailing any changes in condition and an update to the management recommendations. If required we can even update your register!
